The Pastoral Pig is a whole animal butcher shop focused on pasture raised meats, sourced locally from farmers that follow the highest standards of animal husbandry. Our goal is to provide our customers with the most nutritious and delicious meat available – this all begins with animals that have been raised humanely, in their natural environments, grazing on pasture and eating grass and quality feeds.
We also want to address a growing concern around the source and safety of today’s food. Our butchering and cooking is all done on premises, starting from whole animals that have been carefully bred, fed, raised and harvested by farmers we have selected. Each of these steps is equally important, and given the time and care that’s gone into raising meat this way, we strive towards a “nose to tail” approach to using everything. So at our store, along with your favorite steaks and chops, you might find some cuts and products you have never tried. We hope we can introduce you to some new experiences, and we are always happy to provide cooking tips and recipe ideas!
